I got to sit down and have a 2+ hour chat with her today after not seeing each other for nearly two years. It’s really nice to know that things can pick up right where they left off, and that we remain good friends because we prioritize each other and make an effort to communicate (unlike other friends I’ve had since high school). It’s also refreshing to see when people I care about grow and develop into friends I can be proud of.
